CIFFA CERTIFICATE FIATA DIPLOMA COURSE - ADVANCED FREIGHT SERVICES INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION AND TRADE ESSENTIALS OF FREIGHT FORWARDING This course introduces the student to air, ocean, truck and rail transportation, and world geography over which goods move. Incoterms ® 2010 outlines the transfer of cost and risk between the seller and the buyer. This course helps students understand how buyers and sellers manage risk with a variety of international payment methods, cargo insurance and commercial documentation, and concludes with learning how to cost and quote professionally and to offer alternative solutions to clients. These courses are perfect for learners in entry-level positions in a freight forwarding company, or people who have some experience in freight forwarding but want to refresh or deepen their knowledge. They may also be taken by learners with no prior experience in freight forwarding, and who would like to learn about the industry. The FIATA Diploma course guides participants from the basics of freight forwarding to more advanced topics of vessel and aircraft chartering, project cargo, customs, law and legal liability, and logistics and supply chain management, developing fully rounded freight forwarding professionals. Successfully passing this course and its pre-requisites (International Transportation and Trade and Essentials of Freight Forwarding) enables the applicant to apply for the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. This diploma is internationally recognized and is approved and administered solely by FIATA. Completion of this advanced level course and its pre-requisites puts the learner on a path to a Professional Freight Forwarder (PFF) designation.
