The Air Dangerous Goods online recurrent course is a narrated and interactive course that mirrors the structure of the classroom course provided by CIFFA. To complete the course, students MUST have a recent edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. This training is required every two years, to maintain compliance and should occur within the calendar year of the Training Certificate’s expiration date. CIFFA is an IATA and FIATA/ICAO Authorized Training School (ATS), and as such meets their stringent requirements and high standards. Our program also meets the requirements of the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations.
A FIATA/ICAO dangerous goods certificate is issued upon successful completion of this course which is recognized by IATA agents.
• Certification: FIATA/ICAO recurrent certificate
• Examinations: Administered on successful completion on each lesson. A passing grade of 80% is required
The first half of the FIATA Diploma course explores the subjects of project cargo, air and ocean chartering, customs and regulatory compliance, transportation law and legal liability, including CIFFA’s Standard Trading Conditions. The second half of the course introduces students to logistics and supply chain management.
Successfully passing this course and its pre-requisites (International Transportation and Trade, and Essentials of Freight Forwarding) enables the applicant to apply for the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. This diploma is internationally recognized, and each Diploma is approved and administered solely by FIATA.
